Hi! I’m Kaitlyn

I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself without worrying about saying the “right” thing or having everything figured out.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’ll give you space to slow down and understand what’s happening beneath the surface, but I also believe therapy should help you move forward. Together, we’ll look at patterns, make sense of what keeps you feeling stuck, and find practical ways to create meaningful change outside of the therapy room.

Relationships Are at the Heart of My Work

I am passionate about helping people build better relationships. I work with couples who feel disconnected, caught in the same conflicts, or unsure how to find their way back to one another. I also work with individuals navigating relationship anxiety, attachment patterns, relationship uncertainty, breakups, and the process of rebuilding after a relationship ends.

I’m especially interested in helping people understand the patterns that play out in their relationships, why we react the way we do, why certain dynamics can feel so difficult to change, and how we can begin responding differently. With couples, that means helping partners move beyond repeating the same arguments and toward greater understanding, communication, and connection.

Before Becoming a Therapist

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working as a teacher and school counselor. Being in schools gave me a real-world understanding of people and the different backgrounds, relationships, pressures, and experiences that shape who we are. It taught me to be curious, flexible, and to meet people where they are rather than assume there is one right way forward. My own experience in education also gave me a particular appreciation for the unique demands of helping professions and a passion for supporting teachers, counselors, healthcare professionals, and others who spend so much of their lives caring for others

My Background & Training

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio and have completed Level 2 Training in the Gottman Method. My work draws from the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, allowing me to tailor therapy to the person or couple sitting in front of me.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science in School Counseling from Walden University, and completed additional graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through John Carroll University.
